Morocco seen through movie posters

December 2017

A rare collection that finds its place at the Macma Museum, as a tribute to the Marrakech International Film Festival, which takes place in December each year.
An evocation and many memories for a lot of these films shot in the light of Morocco, long before Ouarzazate became the nerve center of filming in exotic settings. There is of course the abundant iconography around the mythical “Casablanca”, but also “the Man of Marrakech” (of Jacques Deray with Claudine Auger) or “The man who knew too much” of Alfred Hitchcock. Enough to plunge back into the epic of the Seventh Art under the light of Morocco.
